Just a short thought tonight. Underneath are the everlasting arms. If we are weary, afraid, troubled, we have rest. If we are in danger, or if we are simply tired or feel we cannot go on, we can rest. We can fall back in the arms of our God and know that, when we cannot hold ourselves up, He will hold us up. Underneath are the everlasting arms, and these arms never tire or grow weary or fail.
Deuteronomy 33:27a says, “The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.”

I have finished a study on grace. Feel free to click on the file below and download it. It will also be added to the files on the "Resources" page. I had a little trouble with formatting when the file converted from Word to pdf. Not sure why as I haven't had this trouble before. However, here it is, as is. Feel free to download and share.
Psalm 106:47,48 says, “Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise. Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.”
This passage begins with a prayer, “Save us, O LORD our God.” Why? Why cry to the LORD our God to save us? So we can be comfortable? So we can have the things we are used to having? So we can do the things we are used to doing? What does this passage say? We can pray to the LORD our God to save us so that we can give thanks to His holy name; so that we can triumph in His praise; so that we can bless the LORD God of Israel. Let all the people say, Amen (so be it, or truly). Finally, we can cry to God to save us so we can praise the LORD. When we have cried to God, and He has heard us and saved us, all glory goes to Him. He did it by His might and power and for His name’s sake. Praise the Lord! Psalm 105:1-5 says, “1O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. 2Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. 3Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. 4Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. 5Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth.”
Give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name, make known His deeds. Why? Because He has done wondrous works. We can sing to Him, sing Psalms unto Him. Psalms are songs played on musical instruments and accompanied with voice. We can glory in God’s holy name because when we seek God, He makes our heart to rejoice. When we seek His face, God gives us strength. We remember God’s works, God’s wonders and God’s words. Thank You, God, for your works, the things You have done for Your people. Thank You for the joy and strength that You give when we seek Your face. Thank You for the wonders, the miracles, that You perform to bring You glory and and for the aid of Your people. Thank You for Your word. Sitting At the Feet of Jesus 1. Sitting at the feet of Jesus, O what words I hear Him say! Happy place – so near, so precious! May it find me there each day! Sitting at the feet of Jesus, I would look upon the past, For His love has been so gracious – It has won my heart at last. 2. Sitting at the feet of Jesus, When can mortal be more blest? There I lay my sins and sorrows, And, when weary, find sweet rest, Sitting at the feet of Jesus, There I love to weep and pray, While I from His fullness gather Grace and comfort every day. 3. Bless me, O my Savior, bless me, As I sit low at Thy feet! O look down in love upon me, Let me see Thy face so sweet! Give me, Lord, the mind of Jesus, Make me holy as He is, May I prove I’ve been with Jesus, Who is all my righteousness. ~Source unknown Psalm 104:10-17a says, “10He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills. 11They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst. 12By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches. 13He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works. 14He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth; 15And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart. 16The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted; 17Where the birds make their nests….”
God provides for us and for all the things that He created – Water for the beasts to drink Tree branches for the birds to make their nests Rain to nourish the earth so that it is satisfied with the fruit of God’s works Grass for the cattle Herbs (edible and medicinal plants) for the service of man Wine and oil for pleasure and beauty Bread for strength There is not anything that God is unable to provide. It is nothing to Him to provide when things are going well or when things are difficult. God’s hand is not shortened that it cannot save. Thank You, God for Your provision for the needs of man and beast and that You care for all that You have created. Psalm 104:1-5 says, “1Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty. 2Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain: 3Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind: 4Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire: 5 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.”
God is very great God is clothed with honor and majesty God covers Himself with light as with a garment All these things show that God is very great and strong. What did God do? What can God do? God stretches out the heavens (space) like a curtain God lays the beams of His chambers in the waters (He is in control of the deeps) God makes the clouds His chariot and can walk on the wings of the wind God makes his angels to be spirits and His ministers a flaming fire; He is in charge of His angles and can make of them what He wants and direct them to do what He commands. God laid the foundations of the earth. If God is all these things and did all these things, I know that He is very great. There is nothing that He cannot do if He purposes to do it. Therefore, I can trust God. I can depend on Him. He can make things, or He can take them away. He can allow a virus to spread, or He can stop it. He can stop it in an instant if He so wills. Therefore, I can wait on my Lord and come to Him to ask for mercy in this situation. I can trust that He will bring it to an end when it is His time. Psalm 103:19 says, “The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.”
God has prepared His throne. He did not just happen to sit as king. He prepared. His kingdom ruleth over all. He has set up a kingdom. There is nothing over which God does not have control. God’s angels and His heavenly hosts excel in strength and do what He commands They help to carry out what He wants done. “20Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. 21Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.” (Psalm 103:20,21) God is great. He rules over all. Nothing takes Him by surprise. He is in control of all. God’s angels and heavenly host do His bidding wherever He sends them. Therefore, all of God’s works in all parts of His dominion bless Him. That is, they adore Him and kneel before Him, or show Him reverence, obedience. Because I know God is in control, I can bless the Lord too. “Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.” (Psalm 103:22) II Timothy 2:3 says, “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” Hard things come our way – sickness, financial difficulties, persecutions, and more. We can endure them through Jesus Christ.
How can we be a good soldier? Verse four explains, “No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.” When we go through hard times, we need to keep our eyes on the One who has chosen us to be His soldier and keep our eyes off the world. Worldly things will pass away. The rewards of serving Christ last for eternity. Dear God, help me keep my eyes on You. This is one of the difficult times of life. It is now that I need to keep my eyes on You and not get entangled with the things of the world. Thank You for choosing me to be Your soldier. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Philippians 1:2-8 says, “2Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 3I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, 4Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, 5For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; 6Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: 7Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace. 8For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.”
God gave grace to Paul for his trials and afflictions and allowed the Philippians to be partakers of that grace. Therefore, Paul thanked God for them and made request to God for them with joy. He was thankful for their faithful fellowship in the gospel and was confident that God would finish the work He had begun in them. Today, God gives us grace in our trials and afflictions. He allows us to be partakers of each other’s trials and afflictions as we fellowship together as saints in Christ Jesus. We can be thankful that we have the fellowship of one another in the gospel, and we can be confident that God will finish the work He has begun in us. Even this trial with the Corona Virus is part of God continuing the work He has begun in us. Tonight I thank God that He loved us so much and gave us this grace and fellowship together in the gospel as we go through hard times. I thank God that we can be partakers together of this grace. |

Hello! My name is Connie, and I live in North Carolina. The Lord has blessed me with wonderful parents, a wonderful sister, and a great church family . The past few years have been difficult in many ways, but God has been with me all the way. Much praise goes to the Lord for His guidance and wisdom in starting this website. I would also like to express my thanks to Valerie who has joyfully and willingly given of her time to help design this website and do much of the technical work. She and her family are faithful servants to the Lord. They also have gone through many trials in the past few years, but they have allowed God to use these trials to make them sweeter and more like His Son Jesus Christ. Rights:
