Jesus Really Cares
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” (I Peter 5:7)
Not just “anxious or excessive care,” but “all your care” – “personal cares, family cares, cares for the present, cares for the future, cares for [our]selves, for others, and for the church… The best remedy against immoderate care is to cast our care upon God, and resign every event to the wise and gracious determination. A firm belief of the rectitude [rightness] of the divine will and counsels calms the spirit of man.” (Matthew Henry Commentary)
“11For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. 12O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.” (Psalm 84:11,12)
“Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. 30But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.” (Matthew 10:19-31)
Do you think that no one cares about you? Do you think that you are of no value to anyone? You are so valuable to God that He knows the number of the hairs on your head.
You are so valuable to God, He loves you so much, that He gave. And what did He give? “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ gave Himself. He lay down His life on the cross of Calvary and shed His blood for your sins. Your value is the blood of Jesus Christ, “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” (I Peter 2:24) You are so precious to God that He gave His Son and His Son Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for your sin. He shed His blood to redeem you, and he wants to be your Savior. Will you receive Him as your Savior right now? His arms are always open wide, waiting for you to run right into them
I Must Tell Jesus!
1. I must tell Jesus all of my trials;
I cannot bear these burdens alone;
In my distress He kindly will help me;
He ever loves and cares for His own.
Chorus:
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
I cannot bear these burdens alone;
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
Jesus can help me, Jesus alone.
2. I must tell Jesus all of my troubles;
He is a kind, compassionate Friend;
If I but ask Him, He will deliver,
Make of my troubles quickly an end.
3. Tempted and tried, I need a great Savior,
One who can help my burdens to bear;
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
He all my cares and sorrows will share.
4. Oh, how the world to evil allures me!
Oh, how my heart is tempted to sin!
I must tell Jesus, and He will help me,
Over the world the vict'ry to win.
~Elisha A. Hoffman
I must tell Jesus all of my trials, my troubles, my burdens, my temptations, my cares, and my sorrows. Jesus loves, cares, has compassion, bears burdens, is a Friend, Deliverer, Savior, and Victor. Jesus can help me, Jesus alone.
