The name of the LORD is to be blessed and praised from the rising of the sun unto its going down. Why? Because the LORD is high above all nations and His glory above the heavens. The LORD is so high that He humbles himself, not only to see the things that are in earth, but also to see the things that are in heaven. He has power to raise up the poor and needy and to set them on high with the princes of His people. He is no respecter of persons and loves the poor and needy just as much as the rich and powerful. He can cause a barren woman to become a mother and have a house to keep. Nothing is beyond the power of our God.
If we want to see changes in our nation; if we want to see changes in the powers of the world, we have an Almighty God to call upon. He is high, so high that He must humble Himself to see what is in heaven and what is in the earth; but He willingly listens to the prayers of His people. He has power to control the nations; and He has power to care for the needs of individuals. He is able to do all. “Praise ye the LORD.”
