Today’s Bible study was simple.
I read from Matthew 16:13-17 about the time Jesus asked His disciples, Whom do others say that I am? The disciples told him some thought He was John the Baptist, others that He was a prophet.* (See verse 14)
Jesus then asked an amazing, right to the point question, "But whom do you say I am?"
Peter said bluntly, with all the faith and hope in his heart, "You’re the Christ, the Son of the living God!" Way to go Peter!
Jesus replied that Peter didn't figure this out on his own but that the Father in heaven had revealed this to him!
Love, love this story! It relates to so many of us figuring out who Jesus is for ourselves!
God wants our hearts, our life, our love and our lifestyle to be used for His glory! ❤ The first step to making this a reality is to understand and acknowledge that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Then ask Him to help you know Him deeply, as He helped Peter.

“13When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: *some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 15He saith unto them, "But whom say ye that I am? 16And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 16:13-17)
