What are some benefits of looking at God’s word to see what He says about health? Here are two of these benefits.
1. Better Health
2. Increased Fellowship with God
As we look into the word of God, we see what He says about health. If we follow His principles, we will have His help in maintaining as healthy a life as possible. We also gain precious times of sweet fellowship with God. God wants to fellowship with us. Various Scriptures teach how much God longs to communicate with us and be a part of our lives. Let us look at a couple.
“12) And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people. 13) I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.” (Leviticus 26:12,13)
These words were spoken directly to Israel. God may not have brought us up out of literal Egypt. If we are followers of Jesus Christ and have accepted Him as Savior, He has brought us up out of the world. He has drawn us to Himself to be His people and broken the bands that sin had upon us and made us to go upright. He says, “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” (II Corinthians 6:16) Today, God still desires to walk among us and be our God. He has made us His people, and we belong to Him.

I John chapter one is a good passage to read to learn more about what it means to have fellowship with God.
I John 1
1) That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2) (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
3) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4) And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
5) This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6) If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10) If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
