God made plain His will to Abraham; and as soon as Abraham knew God’s will, he obeyed. He rose up early. He did not wait until later. He did not say, Well, I’ll just wait a bit to be sure that’s what God really wants me to do. He got everything ready and then got up and went. And he went to the place God had told him to go to. He did not get side-tracked. He did not say, It takes too long to get there and the road is too hard; this place that is nearby is good enough. He did not ask why. He did not delay. He did not say, I need to pray about this first to be sure it is the right thing to do. He did not ask someone else’s advice. He knew God had spoken to him, and he obeyed immediately and without question. He believed that God’s plan is always right.
“1) And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. 2) And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. 3) And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.” (Genesis 22:1-3)

About the Author
Hello! My name is Connie, and I live in North Carolina. The Lord has blessed me with wonderful parents, a wonderful sister, and a great church family . The past few years have been difficult in many ways, but God has been with me all the way. Much praise goes to the Lord for His guidance and wisdom in starting this website. I would also like to express my thanks to Valerie who has joyfully and willingly given of her time to help design this website and do much of the technical work. She and her family are faithful servants to the Lord. They also have gone through many trials in the past few years, but they have allowed God to use these trials to make them sweeter and more like His Son Jesus Christ. Rights:
