Thank the Lord that we have His assurance in Hebrews 4:15, “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.” God sees each falling tear. In fact, just as He knows all the hairs on our head, God has counted each tear and made a record of them in His book. The Psalmist said, “Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?” (Psalm 56:8)
Here is a most comforting song called simply “The Tears.” Below the song, I have written out the words. Though I did find the author, I did not find copyright information, so I want to put that here as a disclaimer. May you be encouraged and blessed by this song.
The Tears
1. The tears, Lord, do you see them?
The mind confused perplexed,
The heart so torn and bleeding,
Lord, do you see?
Lord, do you see?
2. The cries, Lord, do you hear them?
The cries of urgent fear?
The groan of heartfelt anguish,
Lord, do you hear?
Lord, do you hear?
3. The pain, Lord, do you feel it?
The anguish, potent, real,
The ache of hollow hurting,
Lord, do you feel?
Lord, do you feel?
4. My child, I’m weeping with you,
Your pain becomes my own.
Remember, child, I love you;
You’re not alone,
You’re not alone.

“For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.” (Psalm 22:24)
